About Diana

I am a registered and accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and an EMDR practitioner. I can help by offering a space in which you can discuss whatever it is you want to bring providing individual support to be effective in your life. Try talking and develop an awareness that enables you to consider choices and changes that are meaningful for you. I am qualified to work with individual young people and adults.

My approach
I work integratively within a framework of person-centred, pyschodynamic and pro-active approaches. This means we work with what you bring to a session in the here and now, centring on you as a unique individual and when helpful we reflect on past experiences to see how they relate to choices today. Befriending our inner world helps us to meet ourselves where we are at but also facilitates healthy changes to discover and explore fresh solutions.
EMDR therapy is an integrative Psychotherapy which is highly effective at dealing with trauma and other issues. Disturbing events are not just experienced through talk so we can enhance repair by working with our mind, body and emotions. EMDR processes memories and experiences so we remember events but no longer re-experience them. EMDR helps us link up adaptive more helpful thoughts and feelings instead of being caught in negative, charged thoughts and feelings all the time. This helps to conclude stress cycles that related to different life experiences that have been challenging and impactful for us.
I work at your pace and my intention is to develop a relationship that fosters curiosity, change and self-empowerment through supportive challenge.
